Young Lawyers' Section

WHO WE ARE:

The Young Lawyers’ Section is a subsection of the Delaware County Bar Association which is open to all lawyers under the age of 36 or who are within their first five years of practice, regardless of age. The Delaware County Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Section is dedicated to providing services, support and activities for its members in addition to providing public service programming for a variety of worthwhile causes.

A STATEMENT FROM THE PRESIDENT:

The young lawyers look forward to an active 2008.  The YLS provides opportunities to network with local attorneys and the friendly members of the Delaware County bench.  We invite all to attend our happy hours throughout the year and are proud to sponsor events like the New Judge's Cocktail Reception, the YLS Night at the Phillies and our annual Holiday Party for Underprivileged Children.  In addition to social and networking activities, the YLS hosts and sponsors the local mock trial competition in which high school students are presented with an opportunity to learn the art of presenting a trial before local attorneys who serve as jurors and Delaware County judges.  I eagerly anticipate an exciting year ahead and hope to see the local bar, family and friends at future events.
