Young Lawyers' Section

WHO WE ARE:

The Young Lawyers’ Section is a subsection of the Delaware County Bar Association which is open to all lawyers under the age of 36 or who are within their first five years of practice, regardless of age. The Delaware County Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Section is dedicated to providing services, support and activities for its members in addition to providing public service programming for a variety of worthwhile causes.

A STATEMENT FROM THE PRESIDENT:

The Young Lawyers Section is looking forward to another great year filled with a number of social events and worthwhile causes.  We hope to capitalize on our past successes and ensure that we provide every young lawyer unique opportunities to grow and develop into well-rounded and capable attorneys. Some of the events planned for this year include: the High School Mock Trial Program, the Judges’ Cocktail Reception, a family trip to the Phillies, the Annual Christmas Party and the ever popular Texas Hold’em Tournament. Also, a new community service event we hope to run this year is the “Wills for Heroes” program.  This program will bring together our local attorneys with our local firefighters and EMS personnel to draft a will to ensure their families are protected. Finally, I encourage all the young lawyers of the Bar to join the section and become part of the excitement.  It is a great way to network and socialize with fellow young lawyers.  If anyone, young or old, would like to be placed on our email list to receive further updates, please email me at lesniakj@co.delaware.pa.us .
