2013 Bench Bar Registration

The Delaware County Bar Association is excited that you are considering attending the 2013 Bench Bar Conference.  This year's conference promises a beautiful venue, great CLE courses, and exciting outdoor activities at Skytop Lodge.

As the Conference date gets closer, a complete schedule listing events and CLEs will be posted.  In the interim, please be sure to guarantee your space by doing the following:

 

  • Complete the DCBA Registration Form
    • The registration fee for regular members is $185.00 and for members of the Young Lawyers' Section is $135.00.  This fee includes two nights of the hospitality suite, admission to all programs, and CLE credits.  To download the Registration Form, click HERE.  If paying by credit card, you can print and fax the form to Karen Newell at (610) 566-7952.  If paying by check, please mail the form to the attention of Karen Newell at the DCBA, P.O. Box 466, Media, PA  19063.

 

  • Hotel Reservations at Skytop Lodge
    • Registering with the DCBA is the first step in the registration process.  You will also need to reserve your room at Skytop Lodge.
      • The rate for a single is $290.00 per night (excluding tax and resort fee), and the rate for a double is $385.00 (or $192.50 per person)(excluding tax and resort fee).
      • Reservations by telephone can be made by calling 1-888-542-0804.  Be sure to tell the reservations operator that you are booking under group code 249198 to guarantee the DCBA rate.
      • Reservations can also be made by CLICKING HERE.  When completing your online hotel reservation, please follow these steps:
        • At the top of the reservation page, click "Groups".
        • You will be asked to enter an attendee code, which is 249198.  Once you enter the code, click "UPDATE".
        • Choose your check in and check out dates.
        • In the "number of guests" be sure to check to make sure that the reservation is for the appropriate number, as the rates are based on number of guests.
        • Choose a room in the main lodge or a cottage room.

The 2013 Bench Bar Conference is rapidly approaching!  This year's registration numbers have been high, which is good in the we anticipate a successful conference.  Unfortunately, because of the number of attendees, Skytop Lodge has sold out of rooms on Wednesday, June 5th.  If you are still considering attending the Bench Bar, you can contact Skytop to put your name on a wait list for a room on Wednesday night.  (There should still be rooms available for Thursday evening.)  Another option is to stay at the Frogtown Inn, which is a short distance from the Skytop facility.  We will arrange for shuttle service between Frogtown and Skytop during the conference.  To find out more about the Frogtown Inn or to book a room there, please click HERE.  Other local hotel options include the Mount Airy Lodge and Casino and the Inn at Pocono Manor.  Both of these hotels are approximately 10 miles from Skytop.

2012 Red Mass

The annual Delaware County Red Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 1, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Church in Media.  Music for the service will be provided by the St. James High School Alumni Choir, and the principal celebrant will be Bishop Robert Patrick Maginnis.

Following church services, a dinner will be held at the Rose Tree Inn.  (There will be a cash bar from 6:15 p.m.-7:00 p.m., and dinner will follow at 7:00 p.m.)  The cost for the dinner is $45 per person.
